I know this isn't our usual Wednesday rhythm for The Rooted Strength Dispatch, but I promise it's for a very good reason (or three!). Things have been buzzing at Rooted Coaching and Aretas Performance, and I couldn't wait to share some exciting updates that are all about helping more women like you find real strength for real life.

First off, I'm absolutely thrilled to share that we've welcomed 12 incredible new clients into the Rooted Nutrition program! Seeing so many people ready to cut through the noise and get a personalized, sustainable approach to fueling their bodies truly feeds my soul. This is exactly what Rooted Coaching is all about – empowering you to make informed choices that fit your life.
And the excitement doesn't stop there! Today, I'm presenting for a corporate nutrition solution. Imagine bringing the full Rooted Nutrition experience to an entire team, helping them address all their health and fitness needs at an individual level, while building strength and vitality together. It's a powerful vision, and it's a testament to the growing demand for practical, evidence-based solutions in the real world.

The "1905" Salad
With summer officially here and schedules getting a bit more flexible (or hectic!), quick, delicious, and nutrient-packed meals are essential. One of my all-time favorites, especially for summer, takes me back to my days living in Sarasota, Florida: The "1905" Salad from Columbia Restaurant.
I used to order this classic all the time. But what I love even more about making it at home is that I can control the ingredients and adjust things like the amount of ham or cheese to hit my personal protein and macro goals! This is exactly what Nourishing Fuel for a Busy Life is all about – taking control and making food work for YOU.
Here’s my version – perfect for 2 full salads or 4 side salads:
Ingredients:
4 cups romaine (or iceburg - something light and crunchy) lettuce, broken into 1½" x 1½" pieces
1 ripe tomato, cut into eighths
½ cup baked ham, julienned 2" x ⅛" (may substitute turkey or shrimp)
½ cup Swiss cheese, julienne 2" x ⅛"
½ cup green Spanish olives
¼ cup Romano cheese, grated
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 lemon
"1905" Dressing Recipe:
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons dried oregano
⅛ cup white wine vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Combine lettuce, tomato, ham, Swiss cheese, and olives in a large salad bowl.
For the Dressing: In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, and dried oregano. Stir in white wine vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste. For best results, prepare 1 to 2 days in advance and refrigerate – the flavors really meld!
Before serving, add "1905" Dressing, Romano cheese, Worcestershire, and the juice of 1 lemon to the salad bowl.
Toss well and serve immediately. Enjoy your taste of Florida sunshine!
