The summer is in full swing here, and I've been soaking up every minute! The kids are thriving, the garden is absolutely booming (hello, protein zucchini brownies!), and I'm really taking up golf. Mitch and I played a round on Saturday, and we have another tee time booked for tomorrow. We recently joined the Wisconsin Club Country Club and it has been so great to spend time together in an active, enjoyable way.

From Birthfest MKE: Why Pre- and Postnatal Strength Matters
On Saturday, I had the privilege of being at Birthfest MKE, where I spoke to a lot of people about our Bump to Baby Strength program. There were some amazing people there representing yoga or Pilates, but being there made me more aware than ever of a significant gap in pre- and postnatal strength training. The reality is, a mother's journey from a bump to a baby is a transformative one that requires real strength, resilience, and vitality.
This is a time in a woman's life when fitness and nutrition advice can be confusing, conflicting, and sometimes scary. My passion is to help you feel strong, capable, and confident at every stage of motherhood. As a mom of two who experienced the physical demands of training through both pregnancies and two natural, unmedicated births, I've seen firsthand how vital this work is.

Appropriate prenatal resistance training can help alleviate common pregnancy symptoms like fatigue and back pain, while also improving mental health.
It is shown to increase uterine blood flow and can increase the likelihood of a vaginal delivery.
Intelligent postpartum training helps you rebuild your core and full-body strength so you can heal effectively and feel capable for all of motherhood's physical demands.
Proper Nutrition is Your Fuel
The way you nourish yourself during pregnancy quite literally shapes your baby's health, not just in infancy but for their entire life.
What you eat directly fuels your baby's brain and body development, providing the building blocks for their skeletal structure, nervous system, and overall growth.
Proper nutrition provides the critical nutrients needed for your body's transformative work, including growing the uterus and forming the placenta.
My priority as your coach is your safety and the health of your baby. A typical 45-minute to 1-hour session is designed to maximize your results. We start with a connection breath to regulate your nervous system and help relax your pelvic floor, and every workout is a full-body session focused on foundational movements like push, pull, hinge, squat, midsection, and locomotion. Our program is highly scalable to every fitness and strength level, and all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.
